Summer holidays in the Alps
For anyone travelling with kids, summer in the mountains is the perfect choice…
There’s plenty of opportunity for fun, adventure, simple pleasures and discoveries… to experience new places and try new things…. for nature trails, sporting activities, picnics, or just getting back to nature and helping out on a farm. See FSN’s feature Summer holiday – mountain vs beach for more uniquely Alpine ideas for children young and old.
We all know how planning a family holiday can be a bit of a headache, whatever teh season, especially if you’re travelling with little ones for the first time, with so much kit to pack (nappies, bottle-warmer, travel cot, baby wipes, toys, etc, etc…).
That’s why FamilySkiNews.com has compiled a simple family checklist of what to pack for summer holidays in the Alps.
Another approach is to take less, and stay in a hotel which does all the hard work for you. There’s a fantastic group of hotels in the Alps called Kinderhotels (in Austria, Bavaria and Italy) which do just that. They can provide everything imaginable from nappy buckets and baby baths to ski clothing hire and toy lending libraries. It may cost a bit extra, but it’s well worth it, to ensure a fun and relaxing holiday for you as well as the kids!
