Can you believe it… snow in the UK in March!
And there’s more snow forecast for the Alps this week…
This is great news if you’re considering a last minute Easter family skiing holiday, as it pretty much guarantees good snow cover for the imminent Easter break – certainly for any resorts at a reasonable altitude.
There are plenty of discounted ski holidays on the market at the moment. Here are some of the latest and best offers available to France:
Skiweeks is offering free ski hire (or free ski carriage) on a week-long break to Brides Les Bains, which links by cablecar into Méribel and the vast 3 Valleys ski area. Half-board accommodation at Club Hotel Verseau for the week commencing 3 April including travel by luxury coach from London Victoria/Kent is just £299 per person based on two sharing.
For a short break, three nights at the Pierre & Vacances Residence La Riviere in Chamonix is on offer for just £301 for a studio apartment sleeping up to 4 guests. Arriving on the 29th March this is unbelievable value for a weekend of skiing in one of France’s finest resorts.
Ski France are offering the following holidays for 7-night breaks, departing 16 March and including flights from Gatwick or Manchester to Grenoble, plus half-price ski or snowboard equipment hire: 2* accommodation in Les Menuires or Les Deux Alpes from £510pp; 3* catered chalet accommodation in La Tania or La Plagne from £515pp; and 4* catered chalet accommodation in Méribel or La Plagne from £525pp.
For 30 March departures, Ski France also have the following deals (each with flights from Gatwick or Manchester to Grenoble, plus half-price ski or snowboard equipment hire: 2* catered chalets or club hotels in Les Deux Alpes, Les Menuires and Courchevel from £625pp; 38 catered chalet accommodation in La Plagne, val d’Isère, Meribel and La Tania from £630pp; and 48 catered chalets in La Plagne, Alpe d’Huez and La Tania from £635pp.
