Forget Autumn!  Winter is upon us!  That long wait for the snow is finally over…

Yesterday in the Alps, there was a spectacular dump of up to 30 cm across France, Switzerland, Austria and Italy.

 

We’re currently out in the Italian pre-Alps, by Lake Como, where we awoke to this glorious dusting of white stuff in the distance at Madesimo:
