The glitzy Swiss resort of St Moritz has just been appointed Best European Ski Resort at the British Travel Awards, closely followed by Val d’Isere in second place, and Chamonix in third.   These accolades are awarded annually by both experts and the public, and are considered the ‘Oscars’ of the Travel industry.

“We are very proud to receive this recognition from our British guests,” said Ariane Ehrat, managing director of Engadin St Moritz, “especially because St Moritz has such a long tradition of hosting British visitors.”  

A brand new 5* hotel is due to open in St Moritz next month – Hotel Giardino Mountain.   When it opens on 9 December, it will be the resort’s eighth 5* hotel.  Look out for our forthcoming report in our Accommodation section.
