Crystal Ski returns to Norway

The popular Norwegian family resort of Geilo

The UK’s number one ski company, Crystal Ski, is reintroducing Norway into its programme for the 2013/14 season.

Norway was once a very popular destination for British holidaymakers, but numbers dwindled due largely to expensive local prices (especially for alcoholic drinks!), the poor exchange rate and the sparcity of holidays on offer.

That now looks set to change as Britain’s largest operator, Crystal Ski has packaged some highly attractive and surprisingly affordable ski holidays to three of the most popular Norwegian resorts: family-favourites Geilo and Beitostølen, and the nation’s largest ski area, Hemsedal.  Weekly flights from Gatwick to Fagernes will operate from Sunday 22 December 2013 until 16 March 2014.

To encourage early bookings, Crystal currently has some great incentives including:

1) Free and reduced kids places in all resorts if room is shared with two adults. Prices from £1669 for a family of six in Beitostølen

2) 2for1 lift passes in all resorts for all departure dates in January and 2 February. Limited availability (save up to £210)

3) Special ‘Learn to ski’ packages including equipment hire, lift pass and tuition for only £199 in Geilo (save £163). Departure 5 January

Trevor De Villiers, international sales & marketing director of ‘Norway– Home of Skiing’ commented: “Following an absence of almost five years, we’re delighted to welcome Crystal Ski back to our ski resorts. Flying direct from London Gatwick to Fagernes Airport, Crystal will offer the customers what must be some of the shortest ski transfers in Europe – only 45 minutes to Beitostølen! We have enjoyed charter services for almost 20 years from the UK, and I know that our loyal customers will welcome the return of the UK’s No1 ski operator to Norway.”

He continued: “We are very excited to have the British skiers in our resorts, as they really go out and enjoy the full benefits of our unique winter wonderland resorts, from skiing and spa indulgence to husky safaris in our spectacular and unspoilt nature.”
