Premier Neige
As winter evenings draw in, the team at FamilySkiNews are cheering ourselves up by planning some ‘first snow’ skiing in the Alps, and this offer caught our eye. It’s from Flexiski who, as their name suggests, specialise in tailor-made ski breaks for individuals, families – including long weekends and mid-week breaks.
Flexiski are currently offering an excellent-value early warm-up weekend at the Hotel Saint Louis in Courchevel 1850, France: a 4-night stay from 7-11 December (Wednesday – Sunday), for just £340pp (subject to availability), including flights from Gatwick, airport transfers and half-board lodging (plus afternoon tea and pre-dinner drinks with canapés).
The ski-in-ski-out hotel is very popular with families, located right by the Bellecôte piste (a nursery slope). Although there is no kids’ club within the hotel, Flexiski can arrange private nannies. There is also a day nursery at Courchevel 1850 for children over 18 months, open 9am-5pm daily, run by ESF (Ecole de Ski Français) instructors.
Courchevel has a good early snow record (thanks to its altitude, an abundance of snowmaking and an excellent grooming network). Little wonder it’s often dubbed the ‘Capital of the Three Valleys’.
